DescriptionEmphasizes algebraic techniques with polynomials, fractional expressions, exponents and radicals, linear and quadratic equations, and inequalities. Introduction to functions, their graphs, and analytic geometry. Prereq: A grade of C or better in Elementary Algebra or MAT 103A or placement based on placement test score. EL 
PrerequisitesMAT 105 has a prerequisite of a grade of C or better in Elementary Algebra or MAT 103A or placement based on placement test score. 
Special NotesAlthough the subject matter is introductory college algebra the material is presented in a more foundational manner emphasizing our understanding of the logic as well as the language of mathematics. An etext will be made available to students at no cost. In the text are links to lecture videos. The course delivery will be 'flipped classroom' where the students are expected to watch the video and start working on homework before the class. Most of the class will then be spent working on problems or projects related to the material of the lecture.
