DescriptionAn introduction to the major issues addressed by women's studies with an emphasis on interdisciplinary social science theories and methodologies involved in gaining accurate knowledge about women's lives and contributions to society, both within the United States and around the world. Perspectives, texts, and methodologies from across the social science disciplines ranging from history, economics, sociology, political science, public health, criminal justice, psychology, and others will be used to understand the experience of women and the cultural construction of gender.
